SUMMARY:Lecture on the prominent patriot Thomas Ashe\, the centenary of whose death falls on 23 September.
DESCRIPTION:Thomas Ashe: the lost leader of the struggle for Irish independence. It will consider the various causes with which Ashe was involved during his life\, and his contribution to them\, and also discuss the significance of his monumental funeral in Glasnevin cemetery in Dublin on 30 September 1917.
